Polar Bear Cross Training

Jeff Dorminey, Tom Risher, and Carl Viars did the Polar Bear 5K Race over in Prattville today (12 Feb 05/Sat). We noticed a lot of runners and very few cyclist. If the tri-geeks were there they didn't get noticed by us...we just didn't noticed anyone running in speedos.

Tom Risher placed 1st in the 50-55 (first attemp as a 50 year old)
Jeff Dorminey placed 3rd in the 45-49
leaving me in 4th place again.

we still managed a 2+ hour ride later...

14th Annual Georgia Spring Omnium (Brooks Road Race)

March 19 - Brooks, GA

March 20 - Griffin, GA

The top Spring event returns for a 14th year with a new downtown Criterium course

in Griffin.  This new course will be more exciting than racing in a business park.

The same great Road Race course returns to Brooks and the Time Trial will be

on Sunday in Griffin.  SPECIAL NOTE:  To avoid the Easter Holiday Weekend,

the event is schedule the same weekend as the Atlanta Motor Speed NASCAR event.

Perfect day for riding and cyclocross. Team Cycle Escape had 4 entries in the "C" race and took the top 4 places at finish.
